ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Natura Skincare is an all-natural, handmade, eco-luxe skincare company founded by mamma of 3, Monica Solinas... I’ve always been conscious of taking care of my skin, and I believe it’s never too young to start. My children have sensitive skin, suffering with eczema at times and my eldest also has asthma, so I always thought I was being conscious of what I put on their skin and which products I used. Education is power. It wasn't until I began learning about natural skincare and really started researching ingredients, that I was shocked to find products I thought were toxin and chemical free, unfortunately were not. I started out making a few products which I tested on myself, family and friends and received a lot of positive feedback on how the products made their skin feel and smell. What started off as an interest turned into a passion, that led me to creating Natura Skincare.
ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Our products are handmade in small batches, that way we can ensure consistency and customers know they are purchasing from a fresh batch. Each of the ingredients contained in our products have been carefully selected to serve a purpose. As with all natural and organic products there may be slight variations in colour and consistency of texture from batch to batch.
Seasons and weather can play a part in this, particularly so with butters and beeswax. In the warmer months you may find products containing these key ingredients may be softer, in this case giving your product a stir and placing your product in the fridge for 10 minutes will solve this. In the colder months you may find products containing these key ingredients may be harder, in this case working your product in the warmth of the palm of your hand will soften it. These changes are normal and will not affect the benefits of your product.
Caring for your products…
Bacteria requires water for it to grow. Avoid water getting into your products by always using clean dry hands, or preferably a spoon to scoop out the desired amount of product. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
What we do use…
Our products contain ingredients that derive from a natural source of botanicals and where stated, we use organic ingredients. They are beautifully scented with essential oils.
Our products are anhydrous, meaning they do not contain water, therefore synthetic preservatives are not needed in our products. We do use Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) extract as they are natural antioxidants which help to prevent or inhibit the oxidation process, therefore lengthening the shelf life of your natural skincare product. Not to mention they can work wonders for your skin, including combatting the signs of aging!
What we do not use…
We do not use chemicals, synthetics, toxins or fillers of any form.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Environmentally Sustainable… All our packaging (PET jars, glass bottles and Metallized PET pouches) can be recycled and we encourage you to do so.
Carbon neutral…
We use Sendle to get our products delivered to you. Sendle is Australia's first 100% carbon neutral delivery service and Australia's first certified technology B Corporation. B corporations must meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. However, at times if necessary we will use Australia Post.
Cruelty Free…
Our products are not tested on animals. The majority of our products are vegan, however a small selection contains beeswax.
Educating Ourselves…
Having a background in education I strongly believe that knowledge is power, and learning should never cease. We want you to love our products as much as we do, the way they feel on your skin, the scent and the effect they have on your skin and your mood. Just as important, we want you to feel confident in your choice by providing you with information about the benefits of the main ingredients used.
Self-Care…
Self-care is so important for your physical and mental wellbeing. It means something different to each and every one of us. Natura Skincare is an eco-luxe affordable skin care range designed with the intention to leave you feeling as though you have been treated to a day spa in the comfort of your own home.
